Alhamdulillah, the EOP exam for Medicine has finished and I managed to pass the 2 short cases. I'm surprised by myself too. Thank God, but anyway..I'm not going to share my exam experience in this post (maybe later)
Tomorrow, I'm going to start with Short Posting which is Ophthalmology aka ophthal and I'm excited yet worry at the same time.
As the name implies, short posting is just for 2 weeks. I'm not sure how much can be learned within that short period of time. I guess i just have to make full use of the time. Because it's an ophtal posting, we are required to buy a fundoscope in order to practice. I actually plan to buy one, however since my sister told me she had one at home (which is currently nowhere to be found) I havent buy it yet. Aaargh, I really wish i could have one! She said it's a waste to buy it since she didn't use the scope in her working days anymore.
To borrow from a friend, hmm..I still feel it's better to have one of my own. And the textbooks! She said during her medical student days, her doctor recommended a good website which was just enough. There's no need for textbooks. But here in my uni, the have a list of recommended textbooks which I'm sure will not be able to finish by the time I finish the Short posting.
I think for the books, i wont be buying them since it's just for 2 weeks. I guess i have to lookup for a good web resources then. As for the scope, I'm still thinking of buying one if I havent found my sister's scope. I can always resell them to the juniors, right?
